Note: Currently only available with our Rigel Rebuild Kit.
The Ultraleap Stereo IR 170, formerly known as the Leap Motion Rigel, is the successor to the Leap Motion controller, and sets a new gold standard for optical hand-tracking.
Featuring a nominal 170-degree field of view, more-powerful LED illuminators, and a higher framerate when used with USB 3, the Stereo IR 170 is a worthy successor to the device that put optical hand-tracking on the map and that has remained the best available hand-tracking solution until now.
The slim profile of this new module was designed with integration in mind, and it’s a perfect fit for Project North Star headsets. In fact, Leap Motion’s original Project North Star devices featured the Rigel sensor, and North Star builders have been itching to get their hands on it (or in front of it) ever since. Well, friends, the time has come.
Of course, we include a ribbon adapter with every unit for use with our Integrator hub system, and it can also be used with our Superspeed Micro-USB and USB-C ribbon adapters for direct connection to a host computer without the use of the Integrator hub.
